OBJECTIVE: TO SHOW THAT WALKING ALONE IS MORE DIFFICULT.
🏆WHO WINS? THE ONE WHO REACHES THE FINISH LINE FIRST AVOIDING OBSTACLES.
MATERIAL: SOME BLINDFOLDS OR SHEETS AND AN AREA WITH OBSTACLES, PREFERABLY IN AN OPEN
FIELD.

The coordinator prepares a path with a start, obstacles, and a finish line.

Then, the group is organized into pairs, and one participant in each pair has their eyes covered (if there are no blindfolds, the coordinator should ask everyone to close their eyes).

The blind participants must walk, avoiding obstacles for a certain period of time, guided only by the voice of their partner (who cannot be too close) until they reach the finish line.

If the blind participant touches any obstacle, they must return to the starting line guided by their partner’s hand.

After all the blind participants reach the finish line, the roles are switched, and the one who was blindfolded now becomes the guide.

After this activity, some questions should be asked to the participants, such as:

  • How did you feel without being able to see?
  • Were you afraid? Why? Of what?
  • What do you think about the blind person’s luck?
  • How did you feel in the hands of the guides?
  • Did you feel trust or distrust? Why?
  • Is it preferable to go alone or with a guide? Why?
