OBJECTIVE: TO REFLECT ON LIFE AND GRATITUDE
🏆WHO WINS? THERE ARE NO WINNERS IN THIS ACTIVITY.
MATERIAL: A WHITE SHEET WITH A DARK SPOT OR STAIN IN THE CENTER

The coordinator asks for the participants’ attention and shows the group the white sheet with a small spot or stain in the center.

After a minute of silent observation, ask the group to discuss among themselves what this observation might mean.

Then, ask them to express themselves, one by one, explaining what they saw.

Most likely, the majority will focus on the dark spot.

Explanation: generally, we focus only on the negative aspects of events, forgetting their bright side, which is almost always bigger!

If the black spot represented your problem, the rest would represent God’s presence around it.

The coordinator can present related Bible verses, such as:

Romans 8:28 – “We know that God works all things together for the good of those who love Him, who are called according to His purpose.”

1 Corinthians 10:13 – “No temptation has overtaken you except what is common to mankind. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can endure it.”
